ABOUT GARY
In 1991 he left that business to enter the franchise industry - he joined a national training organization where his initial role was selling their business license opportunity (initial investment of $45,000). He quickly found that working for someone else wasn’t enough, so while continuing to sell the business licenses, he purchased his own license and specialized in helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses through implementing management and sales development strategies. Gary eventually built his business to achieve Top Five status out of the company’s over 100 offices in their system. At the same time he was running his business, he helped the parent company develop their national license network, eventually selling over 60 licensed units.
In 1997 Gary and his partner took over running the entire national organization, where his role expanded from just selling licences to that of Vice President. His additional responsibilities included project management, training and coaching existing licensees, as well as driving corporate sales.
After several years of working with this national system, Gary realized that it was time once again to work for himself and help others achieve their life goals through living the "Entrepreneurial Dream", thus joining FranNet in 2002.
Gary believes in lifelong learning - besides his bank-based university education, he has earned certificates in numerous business courses, as well, he has achieved his Certified Sales Professional (CSP) with Honours through The Canadian Professional Sales Association. He sits on the Ontario Council of the Canadian Franchise Association; he's a director for the Toronto Association of Career Professionals; additional efforts include volunteering for various associations and mentoring young entrepreneurs.
His personal passions are: time with his family, yoga, hiking, skiing, travelling and other outdoor adventures including canoeing and fly-fishing.
